Shanti Prasad Jain College, Sasaram is a premier and one of the oldest educational institution of learning on national level. It was founded in 1950 against the background of emerging Indian nationalism with its frantic quest for an educational system incorporating the ethos of Indian culture and nationalism. In the beginning, the college was affiliated to Patna University and it was first affiliating college of the same university, In 1952, Bihar University was established with its headquarters at Muzaffarpur and the college was affiliated to this new university and acquired the status of No. 2 college in that university.
College offered Major Courses in Hindi, English, Urdu, Pali, Sanskrit, History, Political Science, Economics, Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Home Science, Ancient History and Geography in Arts Faculty.
College offered Major Courses in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany and Zoology in Science Faculty.
College offered Bachelor in Computer Application in Vocational Course.

Jain College, Sasaram is not simply a college but a community, a team, a community-building organization, and a nation-building educational institution. is an advisory and recommending body. Our IQAC has been established on 01.09.2014. It has formulated the action plan for all round development of the more than 65 years old and prestigious College.
The College has collaborated with huge infrastructue like:-Number of Classroom, Number of Smart Classroom Seminar Hall cum Smart Class Laboratory, Conference room, SWAYAM cum Smart Class, Teachers Room, Girls Common Room..
Our College Central library is well stocked with text books, reference books, magazines & News Paper collection. The library has an open and fully automated accession barcoded system and Wi-Fi Internet facility.
